RIOT Felt Banner

This unique piece of americana decor has my arcane rage in every stitch. This banner is 24” x 15” and features appliqué felt lettering, flag gold fringe, and is finished with antique brass grommets on each corner.

RIOT. I’ve been very fascinated with this word and its roots lately. An unbridled outbreak. Violent public disorder. Unrestrained revelry.

These days, “riot” tends to evoke an image in our minds. A place, a circumstance, a political faction, a conflict. Lately, “riot” has been a feeling to me. It’s the state our state— an exceedingly garish and dissolute empire. (Read: Nazis are bad, and fuck ICE.)

Unlike most felt banner makers, my bespoke small batch and one-off banners pennants and flags are made from 100 percent pure wool felt, screenprinted or appliquéd, and sewn by hand in Kansas City.
